The places I have visited outside of Iceland are Spain and Gran Canaria. Benidorm I went to Benidorm that is in the south-east part of Spain. I went there in the summer of 2003 with my family. We stayed there for 2 weeks at a 4 star hotel called Grand hotel Bali. We mostly shopped and sunbathed. We went to two theme parks, Aqualandia and Terra Mitica. They are both very big and fun. In the evenings we watched the entertainment at the hotel or went to the old part of the town and checked out the culture. What stood up in this trip was when we drove outside of Benidorm to the mountains where we went to a big zoo and saw lots of wild animals for example lions, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, tigers, elephants and ponys. Benidorm is a beutiful place and everybody can find something fun to do.

Gran Canaria
I went with my sister Silja and my friend Hafdís to Gran Canaria in april of 2006 for two weeks. Gran Canaria is in the Atlantic ocean north-west of Africa. We went there just for relaxation and for fun. For example we went on a party boat and in a safari. In the safari we drove to the middle of the island and we saw the beautiful landscape of the island. We stopped at a beautiful restaurant in the mountains and at a camelfarm where we went on a camelride. Gran Canaria is a fun place to go to for people of all ages. There are great resturants and nightclubs everywhere. We went to a theme park called Aqualand, it is a great entertainmet especially for families. We had a great time there and went to all of the water glides. Most of the time we sunbathed or checked out the shops.
